It took me more than 2 and a half decades to become a reader. In my youth, reading did not interest me as much as the movies did. However, something shifted and changed inside of me when I was in my mid 20’s. I became really connected with personal development, health, and spiritual books.

If you really sit with it - mind, body, and soul.

Whether you're an audible gal like myself or you like to nestle up with a blanket and a book these books listed below aided in my journey of expanding my consciousness, perception, and personal development.

Journey of Souls This book was one I read in the beginning of my awakening during my late 20's. It's a fantastic book by Michael Newton who approached past lives and what happens after death with a scientific viewpoint. It's a great brigdge book from the modern and esoteric linking the worlds together.

Signs Written by Laura Lynne Jackson who is an incredible psychic medium in her own right this book took me into how to begin to communicate with spirit after they had passed. Dealing with the death of my mother this book gave me a brand new perspective that she is not gone, but eternal and is always close by.

The Energy Cure by William Bengston presents strong evidence of the power of healing. A scientific researcher who has dedicated his life to energy healing and research Dr. Bengston goes into his discoveries and powers of energy medicine. This book inspired me so much I went on to take a workshop with Dr. William Bengston and practitioners of the Bengston Method.

The Evolving Soul Continuing her research from the work she did with Michael Newton Linda Backman writes on the evolution of the soul, past lives, and the research she has discovered with her patients and past life regressions. During my late 20's I saw Linda Backman in Colorado for my first past life regression and it was a pivotal point in my spiritual journey.

The Goddess in the Shadows I cannot say enough good things regarding this book. It is one of my favorite goddess teaching books for a variety of reasons. Allycia Rye is not afraid to give attention to the "dark" feminine we were taught to fear and repress. You journey through the stories of these goddesses, their strength, story and learn to work with them. Personally, I find more strength in the darkness and dark times and these goddesses teach you to work the duality of light and dark that runs in all of us.

The Mountain is You I read when I was going through mental challenges of worth and direction. It was a really insightful book for me leaning into the self-sabotage of playing and being small and overall allowed me to adopt a more positive mindset and outlook. Brianna Wiest makes this a digestable read and one I couldn't put down.

The Source Field Investigations David Wilcock has done an astonishing job aggregating information all things strange, esoteric, paranormal, ancient, and, in my opinion, true. Geek out on the subjects most people consider taboo with stories and research to support the claims of such. The source field is a wild book, but also based on a documentary if that is more your thing.

Welcome Home Najwa Zebian wrote this beautifully hopeful book I read after a relationship ended and I was desperately in search of myself. The title alone made me feel seen and like I wasn't alone. It allowed me to fully recognize there were many beautiful moments left ahead of me and I wasn't the only person traveling down a path where they felt they lost themselves. Now when I wander I know it's done intentionally and I'm not lost.

These are only some of the many of notable books out there to help guide you on your path. How I decide to read a book can sometimes be based on recommendation, but highly based on intuition. How I feel when I'm viewing the title or holding the book itself. I silence myself to feel the intuitive call (if it's there) that I will find some fascinating nugget to learn from. I'd encourage you to see if the calling is there for you.
